Thank you for your interest in joining TimeBank Media.

We have two types of membership at TimeBank Media: Individual/Family memberships, and Community Partner memberships. Individual and Family memberships make up the bulk of TimeBank Media’s members. All registrants must be 13 or over, although children younger than 13 may work and participate through a parent’s account and under their supervision. Community Partner memberships are organizations, usually non-profits, who wish to take part in the unique services that TimeBank Media members provide and who wish to offer more than they already do to our community.

The first step for individual/family memberships is to pay the membership fee above and then register with our on-line system Community Weaver. If you prefer to pay by check, please download the membership application HERE, fill it out, and mail it and your payment to Timebank Coordinator, 360 Kirk Lane, Media PA 19063. You may also contact us at: info@timebankmedia.org to arrange to give it to a coordinator in person.

IMPORTANT: For family memberships, use the Community Weaver software to register one member of your family, and then email marie@timebankmedia.org with the names of a) the primary registrant, and b) the names of the other family members that would like to join AND their email addresses (each person needs a separate email account).

You may find this quick guide helpful when registering on-line with our Community Weaver program.

We encourage new members to meet their coordinators face to face early in the registration/membership process. You may also be assigned a “buddy” to help guide you in these early days and weeks of your membership. This initial contact from our staff and our volunteer team is to help you feel like you have a person to turn to with questions. If for some reason you didn’t receive your free “Joining Hours,” please email marie@timebankmedia.org. We are an all volunteer organization and some things, sadly…sometimes..slip through the cracks.

It is important that, as you register on line with TimeBank Media’s Community Weaver database, that you note or memorize both your email address and the password for this registration.

While TimeBank Media is attempting to create and alternate economic system, we still need to operate within the existing one as well. We have costs associated with running TimeBank Media and providing group activities, information, and services to its members. Your yearly fee is quickly made up in services that will be provided to you. In fact, we give you three exchange hours (known as “TimeDollars”) just for joining, so that you can begin trading immediately upon becoming a member. You get four TimeDollars for a family membership.

Community Partner Membership: varies from organization to organization. Please write to us at info@timebankmedia.org with your request, and we will call and/or meet with you to discuss how TimeBank Media and your organization can work together. Membership fees are non-refundable.
